The traditional French manicure has undergone a tremendous change in the year 2020. No longer are french manicures the square clunky shape they used to be, and instead of thick white tips we have subtle nuanced ones; and that too in a myriad of colors!

Blue tips seem to be very hot at the moment and we’re absolutely loving it, but let’s be honest this trend would look great with any color.
Leave a splash of color on those cuticles too if you’re feeling adventurous, they will look amazing
Combine the Skittle nails trend of painting each nail a different color with the french manicure and you have something that's chic yet exciting

Here’s a few looks we thought were great but we think you’d be able to come up with many more -

3. Ombre Nails
If you have trouble picking just one nail shade to use then this nail art trend is for you! The gradient nail art trend involves painting your nails different shades in the same color family to create a subtle shift in colors starting from one finger to the last.
Paint your nails with a range of cool blue colors, each a different shade from the rest but a part of something bigger.
Or you could go the warmer route and experiment with a gradient of hotter shades. Nude shades too look amazing when paired with the gradient nail trend, the possibilities are simply endless.
4. Maximalistic accents
Some say less isn’t more, more is more. The complete opposite of the minimalist nail art trend, the maximalist nail art trend focuses on over the top detailed nail art that can be meticulous and painstaking to create. The end result however is always stunning. Glam up with tonnes of gems for that ruby red look. Whoever said no to crystal covered nail art? We say the more sparkly the better.
Over the top, chic, lovely.
5. Metallic Nail Art
Metallic Nails are definitely the in thing this year. They look great and can be created in so many different colors. You can even add some glitter to your metallic nails and you have a winning look that’s sure to turn heads.
